Easier than the practice exams, but still plenty hard. Had a good six minutes to spare at the end. Nine questions I had no clue about, so assuming I missed them all, can blow another six and still pass.
Hmm...cautiously optimistic, but still the odds of failure > the odds of success.
Results in a couple of weeks, so we shall see after my vacation.
Interesting blend of test-takers, from the diligently serious salaryman and upwardly mobile OL to the hiphop t-shirt wearing gold-chainbling-blinging neck-tattooed.

On Saturday we went to the Nihonbashi BonOdori Matsuri in front of Honbu Dojo.
We ate a hotdog and some shaved ice, played some games and won some toys, then ate yakiniku at Batten.
Ton put away a plate of raw liver and some bibimbap, then ran around in the street whilst Batten's mom took care of Mookun and P and I ate plates of grilled meats.
Ton has been getting up early this past few days. We usually have to drag her out of bed all grumpy and pissy at 7, but this week she's been getting up around 6am on her own. Guess she is excited to go to summer school or something.
Since Mookun is usually up already, we migrate to the living room and do breakfast.
Recently Mookun has become quite talkative. Ok he's not actually talking, but he's making Amusing Baby Noises and it's not crying, so we'll call it talking and leave it at that.

From niichans upstairs. Went over there to play and they have SO many toys that they let her have this cool fire ladder truck! Thanks guys!

After a long day of playing with Yuika, the dynamic duo finally passed out on the way home.

Taking a break from the festivities to enjoy some cheesy snacks and tea.

Had a healthy vegetable-filled lunch with Yuika and family, with a kid's plate that was huge and loaded with pasta.

On the way to the park, she spotted this construction crew digging up the street. And stood there in the hot sun watching the power shovel dig dirt and put it into the truck. For 20 minutes.

Couldn't go to the usual park because of the festival, so we headed up the street to Arisugawa, aka "icecream park", because it's just up the street from the Baskin Robbins, home of Mint Chip!
Was pretty empty as it's still summer vacation, so she got to ride on everything once before she couldn't take it any more and we had to go get icecream.

After eating Tonchan and Mookun played while we finished eating.

After checking out the Nihonbashi BonOdori Matsuri, we headed 5 seconds down the street to get some yakiniku at Batten, where I always go to recharge after the dojo.
Luckily they had raw liver, so Tonchan inhaled a whole plate before running around outside and looking at the festival.

Walked up to Midtown for some sushi at the newly opened Marukatsusuisan. Fish was excellent, but they used that powedered wasabi and put way, way too much on. Not sure this will replace Pintokona as our regular sushi place...

Got some early-morning bagels and went to the Shirogane park by the Stinky River to play and eat.

Left work early to meet the family at The French Place. Stuffed myself with pork fat as Ton killed a bowl of french fries and a pizza toast. Mo looked on enviously as P assaulted a bowl of clams, even getting a small taste when she splashed clam juice all over him.

Ton demonstrates the latest wrestling maneuver on poor little Mo, who can do nothing about it but drool on her and hope the poop filling his diapers is enough to scare her off.

Masa came by and cooked up a monstrous dinner. So. Good.
