Family lunch at the fami-resu. Mediocre koala pancakes, but with a side of syrup into which anything dips comes out syrupy-delicious!

He was too hot on the bus and got all kindsa grumpy. Luckily this is Japan, where even if absolutely everyone on the bus just wishes that baby would shut-the-hell-up, no one will say anything, and will completely ignore him as if he didn't exist.
Love. It.
Much to be said for maintaining social group harmony by ignoring that which displeases.

Dolls? Marginally interesting. Kitchen? Fun for a bit. But what really gets a girl excited?
Big. Trucks.

After we picked up the Tonchabeast from daycare it was time for sushi. His Holy Drooliness finished off an entire jar of babyfood (130 grams -- he loves him some pumpkin!) and didn't even blink when P squirted him him medicine. This kid is balls, seriously.

Part two of the nasal assault. Drug-filled gas is forced up my nostrils. "Breathe normally" says the nurse, like I have any choice but to inhale in any manner other than a paint-thinner huffing junkie.
Felt real good, though.

First official day off of work, which means I only check my crackberry several times.
Dropped Ton off at daycare, looked around vainly for a stationary store open before 10am, then headed home to meet P and take His Mighty Snottiness to the Doc.
Whilst there, I endeavored to partake and was immediately lanced nasally by a couple of LONG, drug-tipped stainless steel probes. After sitting there for two minutes, I proceeded to be nasally gassed...
sick weekend
Last weekend was a big 3rd birthday party celebration, with food and presents and friends and all kinds of carrying on.
This past weekend was payback: on Thursday morning Ton's little cough turn into a nice hacking noise, and she was particularly lethargic on her way to school. Always a bad sign. As suspected, shortly thereafter school called; she had a fever.
By the weekend, Mo was also coughing and drizzling snot out of his nose like at the same pace as he drooled whenever he chewed on something inedible (basically anything he can get his hands on.)
Ton's fever hit 38.6 C and she was understandably grumpy and miserable. Both kids alternated coughing and hacking and not sleeping much, though at least Mo didn't get a fever.
By Monday Ton's fever was down to a measely 38.0 C so we took them both to the doctor for swine/pig/exotic/normal flu checks. The result was boring: nothing special, just a cold.

3rd birthday weekend
Managed to make it home before 6pm on Friday for a proper family birthday dinner of Ton's favorite chicken wings and a small birthday cake.
On Saturday we met the Cheapy family for brunch at Suji's and then walked around Midtown for a while before heading home.
On Sunday the old gang came by and we had a hellof a party, catered by Miri. There was much silliness and fun and lots of eating and running about. By the time everyone left, Ton was wiped out and couldn't make it into the bath, so I just threw some pajamas on her and she passed out within minutes.
